Designing practical tools for inclusive health systems

Impact at Scale Toolkit & Workshop with Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Lisbon 2024

Challenge

Too often, women remain excluded from systems-level health policy and accountability processes, resulting in solutions that overlook their lived realities.

Approach

In partnership with Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Weave team members co-developed the Designing for Impact at Scale toolkit and piloted it through a grantee workshop in Lisbon. The toolkit provided practical systems change and participatory methods for embedding women’s perspectives in health system transformation.

Outcome

Adopted in Pakistan, Ethiopia, and Senegal, the toolkit has strengthened women’s participation in social accountability processes, influencing both local policies and global health programming.
